Spark Gratitude
by creating great memories
Our intention in creating bookAVE was not to get bands more gigs, instead it is to help connect them to audiences who appreciate what they are excellent or really good at.
To help achieve this we created profile templates for bands and venues to help them focus on sharing information about what they are excellent at, what they provide and what they need. In the process connect bands and venues to performances people look forward to rather than have to do.
Most of our bookAVE customers have day jobs and families, and having more gigs, especially if they are not suited to the venue, event or audience is not going to spark gratitude and we see it as adding more stress and disconnection.
To us there is a group of musicians for whom while playing is an essential part of their lives, it is highly unlikely to be their career, with no intention to give up playing in front of live audiences. We feel that if you are going to spend time away from your family or other responsibilities to play in front a live audience that process needs to provide a sense of meaning and purpose. By being in front of an audience or group that enjoys what you play, the probability of the performance creating great memories for everyone is increased.
To us a great show is one that sparks gratitude. People talk about what brought joy rather then being critics. People are grateful they took the time to come to the show and the musicians and singer are grateful they got the chance to play there. The venue owner or event organizer feel they have given everyone a reason to return. Overall there a sense that this is worth repeating. The audience looks forward to going out again and maybe starts thinking about doing it more often. When the musicians go home their families can see the positive energy created from them playing and that their passion is worth supporting.
So you will not see any language of getting more gigs or making more money. You will see ideas and language around building stronger connections that spark gratitude. This is the bookAVE way.
