Work is a process for practicing being a decent person


We see work as a process for practicing being a decent person by focusing on work that sparks your passion for excellence. The reason to focus on this is that we take home what we practice and experience each day to our families, ourselves and communities.  Our families, businesses and communities cannot get enough decent people.



There is a limit to the amount of time you have available for customer interactions, so please focus on the work that sparks your passion for excellence as you initiate relationships with people who will hopefully appreciate what you are excellent at.

We see a need for a plain language booking contract between an Event Organizer and a Listing, so that both parties are clear on what they are doing and providing each other. 

We do not see a need for legal jargon in booking contracts where there is trust and clear boundaries for responsibilities on excellence. Where there is no trust, and people have no intention to be accountable, you need legal jargon. 

The booking Request and Contract is in recipe format plain language and focuses on

• The event description, 
  
• Service description 
  
• What the listing is providing, and must bring with them 
  
• What is provided on site the Listing will have access to. 

The booking Request and Contract was setup to help the parties involved are clear on what they are doing and responsible for providing and bringing with them. 

Our intention is to bring order to creativity by helping people plan and arrange an event that sparks gratitude.

Essential to our intention

• Spark gratitude and appreciation for what people are excellent at.
• Remove disconnection, confusion, frustration and redoing work from the process of planning and arranging an event or creative service.

Result from our intention is to help venues and performers create experiences that inspire more people to be interested in seeing live music in the small venues in their local community that often are overlooked or vaguely promoted.

There are only so many things you have the time and patience to be excellent at. Please focus on agreeing to and doing the work that sparks your passion for excellent, the work you enjoy infusing with love to create experiences that spark gratitude.

To remove disconnection and frustration communicate in recipe style format

• Service Description – in few sentences what the Listing is expected to do or provide 
  
• Required Equipment – list the essential Equipment the Listing must bring  to the event
  
• Provided Equipment – list the essential equipment that is already provided at the location of the event that the listing will have access to.
  
• Payment for the service provided – the deposit amount if needed and remaining balance payment. 

Listen to be clear on shared responsibilities

• Know the intention for the event and the standard for excellence. 
  
• Agree on the service being provided, what the provider will bring with them, and what they will need provided at the event location. 
  
• Everyone is clear on their shared responsibilities for the event to help make it excellent.
  

To remove stress 

• • Treat yourself and everyone else with kindness
    
  • Keep each other informed of any changes. 
    
  • Provide the service you agreed to provide and bring what you said you would.
    
  • Provide the supplies or equipment agreed to for the performer or service.

Once you have agreed to booking a Listing through bookAVE deposits are optional and please note non-refundable. The total combined deposit and remaining payment cannot be less than $20.

The remaining payment is pre-authorized 72 hours before the event. The remaining payment is automatically paid 48 hours after the event is completed. 



If the remainder cannot be pre-authorized 72 hours prior to the start time, bookAVE will attempt a pre-authorizing again at 48 and if needed 24 hours prior to the event. If the funds cannot be pre-authorized both the Listing and the Event Organizer will be sent a notification.

Essential in the process

Ask for you need in a calm caring manner

When it happens that an event owner or listing feels that what was agreed to and what was provided or delivered does not match with what was agreed to, speak with the person involved in the booking contract to clarify

• What happened
• What you propose to resolve what happened that is fair to both parties
• Why what you propose matters to you

State what you experienced and the logical sequence of events to help clarify where you feel what happened does not match with what was agreed to.

In dancing with this process be kind to yourself and please move away from the "We Agree to Disagree" process. We Agree to Disagree, is a process to full stop any conversation. Instead move toward being curious. See this is an invitation to listen and help each of you to better understand what matters to other person and why it matters.

Being in relationship, is about being curious to understanding what matters to other person and why so you both can be in a conversation that builds connection by being present in a kind caring manner. Essential to this process is showing up with the intention to listen to each other to understand what is the right thing to do, instead of talking at each other to prove you are right.

Patience is a process not a result

Identify where you see yourselves forking in the road over what you expected and what was provided or delivered. Each of you can propose what to do about why you disagree on as you listen to each other with the intention to build the understanding for what is the right thing to do.

We do not share, mine, or sell, any information, or compiled data in the bookAVE APP to any person, group or business. Period. We see none of your credit card or financial banking information.

As an account owner and holder you are agreeing to our standard for privacy and agree to treat any and all information to the bookAVE standard. 

At no point are you allowed or permitted to share any person or confidential  information you are privy to during the process of chatting or creating a booking request with an Event Owner or Listing.
